Solway Swim Swimming Pool is a privately owned swimming pool located just 2 miles outside of Annan.
We took over the facility in January 2022, Our Aim is to offer great aquatic services to our users in a clean and safe environment.
Solway Swim comprises of a 20m x 6m swimming pool, with unisex changing suite. We offer a range of swimming & water based sessions for people who want to enjoy leisure time in the water.
The pool is also available for private hire where you can have the pool all to yourself for an hour, subject to availability.
Lessons are taught by qualified teachers, ensuring each child progresses at a pace which is just right for them.
The pool hosts aqua aerobics classes, check out the timetable for currernt class information and make sure to book in advance.
Pool parties are available on request, with the use of the pool for an hour from 20-30 people, make sure you book in advance.
The pool is also available for private hire where you can have the pool all to yourself for an hour, subject to availability.
All slots are subject to availability, our most popular times are evenings and weekends so booking in advance or block booking is recommended.
Please note when booking a minimum of 2 adults over 18 must be in the water at all times.
One hour pool hire between the hours of 8am – 9pm
£30 (for up to 5 people regardless of age)
£6 per person thereafter up to a maximum of 10 swimmers per booking.
If you wish to regularly book a private hire sessions please contact us to make a block booking. Block bookings can be arranged in blocks of 5 weeks, to hold your requested time slot (if available).
If Management is required to cancel any sessions, no refund will be given. Credit will be shown on the next block of sessions or an alternative session will be arranged.
We have two swim schools working from Solway Swim & Leisure, Turtle Tots Dumfriesshire offer parent and child lessons for little ones age 12 weeks – 5 years and Solway Stars offer independent learn to swim lessons for children age 5 years and above.

Our classes introduce your little one to the water and teach them water confidence and safety skills, as well as starting them off with basic swimming techniques. Our lessons are all child-led so they are never forced to do anything they don’t want to do and they can progress at a pace that is right for them. We will always try and find a class that is suitable for their developmental stage (so you don’t have to start at the beginning with your older baby or toddler). We use lots of games, toys and songs, so it is a lovely fun way to spend half an hour with your little person.
Aqua Aerobics classes are a great way to mix up a traditional gym workout with the amazing benefits of water.
You’ll get is a great all-over workout and use new equipment like aqua dumbbells, kickboards and hydro discs.
With only a few aqua aerobics sessions and you’ll see a big difference in your overall fitness.
